1. Who We Are

Bourbski ("we," "us," or "our") is a mobile application for whiskey enthusiasts to track their collection, log tasting notes, and share activity with friends. The app is available on Android via Google Play.

For questions about this policy, contact us at privacy@bourbski.com.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly when you use the app:

We do not collect precise location data, payment information, or any data from your device contacts or camera roll beyond photos you explicitly choose to upload within the app.

3. How We Use Your Information

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to operating the app.

4. Information We Share

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with the third-party service providers necessary to operate the app:

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal request.

5. Data Visibility Within the App

Bourbski is private by default. Your shelf, pours, wishlist, and activity are only visible to users you have an accepted mutual connection with, unless you choose to make your profile public in your account settings.

Your wishlist can be shared as a public link to anyone (including people without a Bourbski account) using the share feature within the app — this is opt-in and intended for the gift list use case.

Bottle submissions you contribute to the community catalog are publicly visible to all Bourbski users, attributed as "submitted by a community member" (your identity is not displayed on the bottle listing).

6. Your Rights and Choices

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, you may have additional rights under GDPR or UK GDPR, including the right to object to processing and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data is deleted from our systems. Anonymized bottle catalog contributions (with authorship removed) are retained indefinitely as part of the community database.

8. Children's Privacy

Bourbski is intended for users 21 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@bourbski.com.

9. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS) and using Supabase's built-in security and access control features. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure — we cannot guarantee absolute security.
